9/14/11 cblog SOMETIMES PAINFUL THINGS MUST BE ENDURED 2 BECOME A BETTER PERSON; Lady of Assump, claremont "..the cross..exultation of the cross ..at the time..however to die on a cross was very shameful..often bodies left to rot ..but Jesus changed it into a sign of triumph ..reminder to us we will have tough times..& may think its tragic ..but it may be an opp to grow & become better people ..then a period of difficulty & a period of reconc. New understanding ..sometimes it takes disappointmnt pain..to bring home to us ..but there's more to it than we ever dreamt abt ..israelites in the desert not having good time..fed up w/ mannah ...complain to moses..god sends serpent..moses sees this as a reminder of what they suffered in egypt..have u forgotten what its like to be a slave..god doesn't take away the sting..lesson..accept things ...as a student don't always like to study..come to grips w/ it..force self to study..becomes easier ..joy of coming to grips w/ something difficult in our lives..pause & look back at ..that led to growth..realize we r better than we thought..or better off ? ..and also thank peopl who helped us.
